Tough Mudder...

Over our weekend at the Lake House Jimmy decided to join Destine' and Steven in the
Charlotte Tough Mudder in October.

Most of you know that over the last year Destine' has made a few health changes in her life.
She is eating healthier and exercising.
She is living and feeling healthier.
She is taking great care of herself.
She has been doing cross fit and is closely monitored by her trainer.
Some days I get cool pictures like this that her trainer took.

This is her lifting her body weight.

After signing up for the Tough Mudder,
Jimmy started training.
He already goes to the Gym daily at work.
Now he gets up early, runs to our local park to practice on the monkey bars, the rings and the balance beams, all before 7AM.
He still goes to the Gym every day at work too.

I was planning on taking the Zoo with me to be a spectator but after further investigation, I would really just like to enjoy the day taking pictures of these crazy people doing these crazy things.
Thankfully Grammy and Grampy are going to watch the Zoo for us.

Here are a few of the obstacles that they may be facing.
They won't know which 12 or 13 obstacles they will have to do until they get their packet when it gets closer to Oct.

Here are the possibilities...

All these photos are from the Tough Mudder website and under copyright.
*I did not take any of these photos.

Yup that's real fire...

again real fire...

The rings and the monkey bars are what Jimmy fears the most.

Those are yellow live wires.
Yup the kind that will shock you.

Monkey bars...

More live wires...

This is the other one that Jimmy fears.
The Ice!

That's ice.

Yup more ice.

Shock wires again...

Spectators get to try to knock them off.

More fire...

Real barbed wire!

That's real barbed wire.

More shock wires.

Not only will I have my camera bag and a ton of camera crap with me.
I will also have a very big first aid kit.
Including our crutches, knee braces, ice packs, a few ace bandages and not to mention a Xanax for me while I watch in horror, having a few panic attacks as my husband, daughter and future son in law do these crazy dangerous challenges.
Please pray on Oct 25 that we all make it home safely and in one piece.
