Everyone makes mistakes, even Mommy...

Every 45mins of every waking hour since Wednesday, I have been reminded of my latest big mistake. Miss Kylie doesn't know that every time she asks "Mommy why did you crash the car?" ... "Mommy how are we going to get to school and dance?"... "Mommy why would you do that?"... "Mommy it was our only car my seat fit in?"... "Mommy it makes me sad you crashed the car?" ... my heart breaks again at the possibility of how much worse Mommy's latest mistake could have been. We had angels looking out for us on Wednesday. Thank god my Babies and the kind fireman in the other car are all OK.
Kylie is only four and every time she asks one of those heartbreaking questions, she climbs in my lap.  I know it is just her way of being thankful we are all still here.

This is the Babies side of the car where the truck landed after it spun around in a complete 360.
This is Bella's door and Jaxson sits right behind her.
The fireman and EMT who checked them out also checked their safety seats (I guess that's part of checking them out) and said that it is one of the safest setups they have seen.  That their seats didn't even move, that they were so secure that they couldn't move them even after the accident.
Well, that part Mommy got right!

I was on my way to get Kylie from school when it happened.  In the chaos and group of people who came to my rescue, the first person was the fireman from the truck I hit.  He helped me check both babies and when I collapsed after I knew they were OK, he helped me.  Another driver, a mom of one of Kylie's classmates also stayed with me.  She called the school and helped me with Bella and Jaxson. Of course it was a record high and 96 degrees outside.  Bella and Jaxson didn't even cry.  Jaxson made a friend with the ambulance guy who checked them both out.  Bella only cried when she had to get back in her car seat when Grammy got there to take us home.  I don't blame her, I have no desire to drive even though I know at some point I will have to.
