One Year Dr Appointment. Bella weighed in at 20.5 lbs, 29" long, 47cm head.
Jaxson was 20.5 lbs, 28.25" long, 48.5cm head. As we suspected Bella caught up to
Jaxson. He is a little picker eater. He would rather have baby food and does not like certain textured foods. Bella loves cut up people food and a lot of it. You just don't mess with Bella when she is eating. Every
Milestone Dr appointment we have to fill out an
assessment. For example do they pick up small things with their finger and thumb or do they pick it up with a
raking motion? I always print these
questionnaires out from the web site for a number of reasons, one being I am not going to sit in the waiting room answering a four page
questionnaire and for each baby. Plus you are supposed to try each thing out with each baby. The reason I am mentioning this is one of the things on the
questionnaires is "if you put a cheerio in a soda bottle does your baby poke at it to try to get it out?" Then you choose Sometimes, All the time, or Never. Well We tried this at home with a small Orange Juice Bottle. On the third time
Jaxson was not only poking at it he figured out how to get it open and eat the cheerio. Needless to say they both scored great on the
assessment and are right on target for their Birth Age.
A tradition I have with my girls is to have their ears
pierced on their first birthday. As we did with Kylie, Bella had hers done at Dr.
Gelber's Office. Miss Kylie showed her support.

Before...

During.... She was more upset about the shots she got than the
earrings.

After....

When we got home.... She doesn't notice them, even when we twirl them at night and put
earring solution on. She doesn't grab at them. I was more worried about
Jaxson seeing them but he doesn't bother them either. ... And Miss Kylie has stopped buzzing her ears! I am sure that Miss Bella thinks, if nothing else, that little pinch was worth it to get Kylie off her ears.
