Surprise.... we have Sissy for two whole weeks...

First thing on our agenda was Jaxson's soccer game.

Second thing on our agenda was apparently Urgent Car for an X-ray.
As I was unloading the truck after the game I trip and fell in the driveway.

Thankfully it was not broken, just a Sprained Ankle and bruised knees.

Crutches for a couple days wasn't fun.
But we didn't let it change our plans.
Well, almost.
We switched a couple things around but still did all our activities.

What do you do when you unexpectedly are on crutches and have two weeks of surprise activities planned?
You move the Drive through Zoo up a few days on the itinerary.

Monday we headed to the Lazy 5 Ranch, crutches and all.

Picked up our buckets of animal feed.
*At this point those who really know me are laughing because these buckets of tiny feed pellets are undoubtedly going to make a mess.
But its all good-nothing a vacuuming won't cure.*

This was the reaction to finding out we were at a Drive through Zoo.

Our first animal

The only rule is: do not feed the water buffalo, the long horn cows and zebra's.

Sissy though this was a long horn cow ... until...

This guy walked by.
Now that's a long horn cow.

If you know me, you know how crazy I am about keeping my truck neat.
When this big guy started towards us, he didn't look that big and I thought Mom's going to feed this guy. As he got closer I started to realize how big he really was.
This is by far one of our favorite memories from our two weeks.
The kids still talk about it.
"How Mommy made a huge mess in her truck and they didn't spill a drop."
The back seat was spotless and Mommy and Sissy's seats were a mess.
They laughed and laughed about Mommy feeding the "hound dog cow".
Truthfully I didn't really care how dirty my truck got during these two weeks.
We were making some really amazing priceless memories.

Yes, there IS cow snot on my steering wheel

Taking our left over feed to the petting zoo area.

This was by far one of our favorite places.
So much fun!

Tuesday
It was a LuLaRoe kind of morning.
We went to my neighbors in home LuLaRoe shop
Got a new outfit.

Tuesday night we had Kylie's School concert.

Wednesday Jaxson and Bella took Sissy to school for show and tell.

Also on Wednesday (our "rest" day)
Kylie had a fluoride dentist appointment
Sissy had a very important hair appointment with Heather.

Thursday we went to Buckwheat Farm Strawberry Picking

15+ lbs of Strawberry's

They made
Strawberry Short Cake with home made biscuits
Strawberry muffins
Strawberry crumb muffins
Strawberry icing for home made cup cakes
Strawberry Banana Bread
Chocolate Chip Cookies for Jaxson because he doesn't like Strawberry's

Ankle Status

Jaxson says Mommy's foot is angry

After Strawberry Picking on Thursday, we went to see a movie
The Jungle Book

The only problem was Jaxson thought we were seeing Zoo-Topia.
Though out the whole movie and at the end of the movie he kept asking "when is the movie going to start? When is Zoo-Topia coming on?"
He even saved his special treat for "Zoo-Topia".
At the end I promised we would come back and see Zoo Topia.

Friday we went to see Farmer Mary at Winterpast Farms.

This was a really amazing place.
Run by Farmer Mary.
You bring food to feed the animals.
There is a list of suggested foods you can bring on her Facebook page.
You are literally walking around with the animals.
She explains each animal and their history.
We will be going back again this summer.
Due to the threat of possible rain storms today, I had the kids wear their rain boots.
I am so glad we did because it was really a close up experience with animals.

This is a turkey egg.
We got to see so many different kinds of eggs.

This is the Turkey, if you can see her.
She is sitting on 18 eggs in there.

This little guy is only one month old

Bella's favorite part of the day.
She is getting ready to hold some animals

The chickens and roosters just walked around us and didn't bother with us at all.

This brought back Catskill game farm memories.

I was a little leary about walking around with the turkeys.
But they didn't bother us either.

Feeding Daisy the big, who will sit for food.

The kids loved this place.
Just as we were leaving Winterpast Farm it down poured rain.

It poured so much on on Friday after we got back from the Farm
That Jaxson's soccer game was cancelled the next morning on Saturday.

With another full rainy day we decided to see Zoo-Topia.
Jaxson finally ate his special movie snack.
When we got back it was time to pack for our next big surprise.
After packing we only had one more thing on our agenda for Saturday night.

Destine', Lori and I planned a girls night.
Wine & Design

This is what we started with
and a plate of white, black, gray and dark blue paint.

Lori's

Destine's

Mine
I will admit that the biggest challenge was the chair.
Several times I almost painted over the chair.

Impromptu Sleepover at Grammy's
Somehow with all the excitement of activities we has planned.
Mommy and Daddy messed up.
Daddy headed to the lake Saturday morning after the game got cancelled to help Grampy with his irrigation project.
After our movie and while I was starting to pack for our surprise I realized
Oh crap Daddy was supposed to watch the kids for our girls night.

Grammy to the rescue.
Grammy had a sleepover with Eli already planned but gladly said the more the merrier.
What's s few more grand kids.

Seriously Grammy,
Thank you so much for saving the night.
As always the kids had a great time

Destine' and I picked up the kids in the morning and hit the road
...and just like that we are on our way to our big surprise.
