Since one of my favorite places on Earth is the Cornwall on Hudson River water front, It only makes sense that one item on my buck list (which I don't actually have a bucket list, I guess I should make one).
Bannermann's Island has always been a mystery to me.
Until this trip to NY.
I finally got to explore it.
Bannermann's Island was owned by Mr Bannermann and he purchased goods after the wars.
Then he sold them.
The first army surplus store was originated in Newburgh.
A few months ago one of the rain storms washed away half of the castle.
They have been working to secure as much as they can.
This castle is where they stored the arsenal of war products.
This is another castle on Bannermanns Island where the Bannermanns lived.
Mrs. Bannermann lived here long after her husband died.
A picture the tour guide showed us of how everything was set up.
Out house for the living quarters.
Historical and Beautiful Newburgh Water front.
You'd never guess that Newburgh NY is ranked in the top 10 most dangerous places to live.
Very sad.
My trip to Bannermann's Island was amazing.
Everything I thought it would be and more.
I love the history!
