Just a little rain...

On July 11th we headed out to Bella's eye Dr.
Little did we know that the day would present us with a few challenges.

Mommy knows how much time she needs to get to each appointment.
Today for some reason Mommy decided we would start getting ready to leave a little early.
So as I headed out to put miss Bella in the NEW Truck, we were greeted with a little surprise when we opened the truck door.  Inside our NEW (less than a month old) truck and NEW car seats were ants. I'm talking horror story, thousands and thousands of black ANTS.  They were everywhere!
I had even vacuumed the truck out the day before from our trip, without a cheerio in sight the ants were marching in our truck.
Thankfully Grampy came to the rescue.
Grampy came over to watch Jaxson and Kylie. Then he let me borrow his Jeep to take Bella to the Dr.
I am so glad I had Bella's old car seat all cleaned and ready stored in the garage.

At our Dr. appointment, it was to no surprise to Mommy that Bella's distance eye sight is deteriorating.
We have noticed that over the last month her right eye is drifting.
We think this is because she doesn't like the patches.  When she hears me open the package she runs away and hides her face.  She has also been riping them off.  It is hard to get her to keep it on for 3 hours.
For the last month I have only been able to keep it on for 1.5 to 2.5 hours at most and that is replacing them when she takes them off.
Dr. says we are doing great that 3 hours for a toddler is a long time. She is happy if we can keep up with the 1.5 to 2.5 hours.  3 would been great but with a toddler, you just need to do your best.
She said "if her distance continues to deteriorate then surgery is in her future but for now this is working".

Our second obstacle on our way out was tirental down pour.
We even called Daddy to check the radar to see if it would pass.
Lucky we called him because it was going to pass, we just needed to wait 5 minutes.

When it slowed down we headed out and even though it wasn't pouring we still got soaked.
Bella took it like a trooper and belly giggled the whole way to the car.

I'm thinking that it was a good thing I didn't have everyone with me and the stroller.
We would have all been soaked.
I'm not saying that I am happy about those ANTS but for some reason or another GOD didn't want us all to go.  We are just lucky we had another option.

We also found out from the Dr. that they are having an ant problem.  Tis' the season but their exterminator told them that this is the worst season yet for ants.
It is forging season for ants so even if you don't have food and water laying around they are out in search for it to bring back to there nest's.

*Update: we were able to rid our vehicle of ants by spraying around the truck and setting bait traps in the trunk and on the floor mats.
The next morning Daddy re-vacuumed it out for Mommy and we are ANT Free!
We will just need to continue to spay around the driveway when we do the house.
