She's a big girl now ...

The day you first hold your baby in the Hospital, you look down and have so many dreams for them. You think of all the things that you want them to do and who you want them to be. As a single Mom all alone, even though my Dreams were big and even though I knew she could do and be anything she wanted to be, at the same time I never ever dreamed such a day would come. The Idea that I/we (this couldn't have happened with out my wonderful husband) would be sending her off to College is just amazing in so many ways.

The most amazing thing is the person she is and her drive to achieve her goals. I am in awe of the wonderful women she is. I thought I would shed a few tears and maybe be embarrassed how emotional I would be. To my surprise, there weren't any tears that day. I was so proud and so engulfed in her enthusiasm for learning and new experiences that I didn't have time to think about tears. I can not say that I haven't shed a few in the last few days but every one of them were happy ones. We are proud of you Destine' and can't wait to see what you accomplish. It wont be easy and you will doubt yourself at times and you might make a few mistakes but you can do it. Most important we are here to support you and help you. We are just a skype call away.

Yes, she made the bed.

This is for Nana. They have these emergency buttons all over campus. So if she ever feels threatened she just keeps pushing buttons and the campus police will find her by the buttons she pushes.

We got a call today from Sissy wanting a skype call. She missed us. It was a good thing she called we missed her too. These are for Sissy, since she will now be checking the blog to check in on us. This is what she saw today when she checked in.

The view from the computer... We love you Sissy!

Why is Sissy in this little box.

We love you Sissy. We are proud of you. Keep the texts coming and we can do skype anytime.
