Kylie loves first grade.
She also loves that Aiden is in her school.
When she came home from school, she said
"It was good but different. They don't have a bathroom in our classroom. I don't like that."
She also found out that her friend Vanessa is staying in kindergarten because ....
(and I quote) "It was her Mother's choice."
Every time I would ask her about the day to get more of what she did, she would say.
"Well, Vanessa got to stay in kindergarten because it was her Mother's choice."
I did explain that it's not a big deal and she will still get to see her and play with her.
I did explain that her Mom probably just wants her to learn a little more before she goes to first grade.
I was assuming that she was missing her friend.
I was wrong!
She was implying that it was her "Mothers" choice.
You see, she asked me a few weeks ago if she could stay in kindergarten to be with Aiden.
My answer was "No, you need to go on to first grade."
"Your teachers said you could move up to first grade, there is nothing I can do."
