Ready or Not here we come...

Packing up for our vacations is always a challenge.
This time was no different.
Although our cargo hold is a little bigger, I am trying to pack efficiently.
Usually packing for the family is overwhelming but this time, I was able to take my time throughout the week and with Destine's help, it wasn't as crazy.
We took turns with Jaxson and Bella and Kylie was my awesome helper.
Here's a little peek into my packing for three little people and myself.

I start by finishing all the laundry and putting it away.
Then I go through each closet and pick out what clothes I want to bring.
I stack them somewhere until I can go through them and decide what really needs to go.

This is Jaxson, Bella and Kylie's clothes on Monday night.

This is the pile I have accumulated down stairs.
Pack n Play, diapers, wipes, Kylie's travel bed, Kylie, Bella, Jaxson's pool floats and vest.
Coolers, swim towels, and a few toys that we are leaving in NY.

We have six birthday's, one baby shower, one baptism and of course one wedding.
Yes, that all in two weeks.
These are gifts.

This is my staging area up stairs. These suit cases are empty right now. I am keeping two piles and not packing until everything is ready. I do this so I don't over pack.  If I pack too early I forget what I packed and end up with too much.

This is what put me over the edge and this is what made me start taking pictures as I packed.
I stared at these shoes and that's when I realized Wow that's more than 10 pairs of shoes.
Then I couldn't figure out how to pack them or what to put them with.
I ended up with a small duffel bag of just shoes.
I added mine and yup I have one bag of just shoes.
Each child has a pair of sneakers, water shoes/sandals, and dress shoes for the wedding.
The girls have matching sandals for sun dresses.
Still that's over 10 pairs.

Getting the cargo cleaned and ready to put on the "Beast".

WoooHooo, where there is a will there is a way.
Now we have a hitch and we have our bike rack from my ford, I got an idea.
I measured the holes in the baby coral and the bike rack and it matched perfect.
Yes, I am bringing my coral.

This is how we will roll.

Day two, on Tuesday, Today, I started to organize the kids pile of clothes.
I fold and put back what they don't need.
I match up outfits and fold some and lay flat others.

This is the whole stack from the chair and from the hallway.

This is Kylie, Bella and Jaxson's clothes all in one suitcase.

This is my end result.
Three piles.
One medium suitcase, one small suitcase, one duffel bag of shoes, one pack n play, one bag of diapers, wipes and baby pool float.

Two toddler chairs, gifts, toys, travel bed, camera bag.

My diaper bag, and bathroom bag.

All I have left to do; Kylie's toy bag, kitchen bag, snack bag, grocery bag and two small coolers.
I am in pretty good shape. I'm not over packed and I am feeling pretty organized.
Tomorrow we will pack up the "Beast" and finish up a few odds and ends.
Then off we will go.
See Ya'll Soon.
