Adjusting...

We are adjusting .... I am still in disbelief that there are two small miracle's.

This sums up our first 12 days at home... In 12 days we have gone through 288 newborn diapers (three boxes), 768 baby wipes, 192 bottles of breast milk, 5,760 minutes of nursing (that's when I nurse them together at the same time) plus and additional 5, 760 minutes of pumping breast milk. Two extra loads of laundry per day for just Bella and Jaxson (boys pee on everything).



When I feed them together I get them both changed, ready and set them up in the boppys. Then I put them both on the huge twin nursing pillow (best invention ever for twins). After I nurse them I put them back in the boppy's and feed them both. I try to alternate holding each one while feeding.

On Tuesday both went back to my favorite pediatrician. When we left the hospital Bella was 4 lbs 11 oz and now she is 5 lbs 1.5 oz. Jaxson was 5 lbs and is now 5 lbs 6.5 oz. So both got gold stars for gaining weight. Jaxson peed on the scale, the boy gets some distance too, sometimes 3 to 4 feet. Kylie thinks it is very very funny when Jaxson pees on us.

Thanks to my wonderful mother in law and father in law we haven't had to cook since we came home. Matter a fact during the day Jimmy has to remind me to eat. Between feedings and changing diapers it's sleep or eat and sometimes I forget that I didn't eat. Daddy has been joining me for feedings at night and watching Kylie during the day. Daddy is amazing! We make a great team! Not sure how it will go when he goes back to work a couple days a week. (he will still be working from home 3 days a week).

Our Love to everyone and apologies for the lack of phone calls... We are knee deep in poop, pee and feedings. I wish I had time for phone calls or even a shower LOL

Oh and none of this is complaining we are loving this tired life and loving our family!

PS the reason he is my favorite pediatrician is because at the last appt. on Tuesday he instructed me to go home and have a glass of wine and relax... I love him!
